WHAT WE OFFER
The great thing about having a place to stop and restock in the middle of the 100-Mile Wilderness is that without it, you would need to carry 10-15 days worth of supplies across rivers and streams, over roots and rocks, up and down the many mountains before emerging from the wood.
We stock a large selection of food and fuel and many other items used on the trail. This is a huge benefit especially for the southbounder who typically overloads at the beginning of their hike. We even offer shuttles to and from town and Katahdin Air flies in regularly to take hikers to various locations right from the end of our dock.
In 2000, we built a bunkhouse that sleeps 20. Our cabins have semi-private rooms. We do use outhouses and have a central shower cabin. Both are cleaned daily.
Canoes and paddle boats are available for guests to use for free.
The private cabins are set up for cooking with water, fridge, stove and wood heat. Cook your own meals or wander over and enjoy a combination from our lodge menu.
In the main lodge we offer our famous One Pound Burger, homemade Pizza, Ben & Jerry’s Ice Cream and assorted sodas. An All-You-Can-Eat Breakfast is included with your stay as is a full hot shower, towel and pillowcase. When in season, we even provide fresh veggies from our garden.
